News from the Clinic

Dear Old Bridge Parents and Guardians. My name is Anke Blaine and I am your student's school nurse. This year is my fifth year at Old Bridge Elementary School and my seventh year as a Prince William County School Nurse. I am a RN. I received my Bachelor's Degree at the University of Texas at Austin.
Your child's health is of utmost importance to me. A healthy child is a better learner! Please let me know of any health problems your child may have. Children with asthma or life threatening allergies can store inhalers and epipens in the school clinic. Health treatment plans need to be completed by the parents/ guardians and the physician.
Prescription and over-the-counter medications can be administered at school if the proper paperwork is completed.
Please keep your emergency cards up to date so we can reach you in case of an emergency. Please don't send medications to school with your student. Only adults are allowed to deliver medications to and from school.
Children with a fever, rashes of unknown origin, injuries, or stomach problems should remain at home. A child needs to be fever free, without the help of medications, for 24 hours before returning to school.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at Old Bridge. I am here on Mondays, Thursdays, and Wednesday mornings.
Sincerely,
Anke Blaine, RN, BSN
